Gary Busey is a famous American voice actor, as well as an actor. Gary Busey rose to prominence in 1978, when he appeared in the main role alongside Don Stroud and Charles Martin Smith in Steve Rash’s biographical film called “The Buddy Holly Story”. For his portrayal of Buddy Holly, Busey received a nomination for an Academy Award in the category of “Best Actor”. Busey’s major public exposure came in 1974, when he appeared alongside Jeff Bridges and Clint Eastwood in a crime film called “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot”. He then landed the role of Bobbie Ritchie opposite Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in “A Star Is Born”. Busey’s appearance in the movie not only brought him critical acclaim, but also earned him a nomination for an Academy Award. Around the same time, Busey was featured in “Predator 2” with Danny Glover and Kevin Peter Hall, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, an adaptation of John Grisham’s novel “The Firm” of the same title, and David Lynch’s “Lost Highway”.
In regards to his personal life, Gary Busey has a son William Jacob Busey with his ex-wife Judy Helkenberg. Currently, Busey is in a relationship with Steffanie Sampson, with whom he had a child in 2010. The couple named their son Luke Sampson Busey.
