This was Angelika Jager's one and only film, which is a terrible shame. She is by far the best thing in it. She can't act or deliver dialogue whatsoever - she can't even stand still convincingly, and she gives the impression that she was trying to deliberately sabotage all her takes. Perhaps she didn't get on with the director.
I can only assume she was hired because she was willing to take her clothes off, but I'm puzzled as to why she was never in anything else. The direct-to-video market has always had work for women who can't act, but look good naked, and she could always have been dubbed. In fact it puzzles me as to why she wasn't dubbed, given that the robots at least were looped later on.
Perhaps she was a random German tourist who the producer spotted shopping one day, or she was the producer's girlfriend, or the producer wanted to get into her pants, in which case I wonder if it worked. Or the director told her at the start of the film that she should act like a broken robot, and she took it too literally.

Video Violence is a weekly column dedicated to genre films recently released to home video. This week’s column takes a look at Wizard Video extravaganza ROBOT HOLOCAUST. The Movie: In a dystopian wasteland still smoldering from a horrific war with sentient robots, a freedom-fighter named Neo leads a rag-tag rebellion against humanity’s mysterious, brutal overlords. Sure, we all saw this story in 1999 when The Wachowskis called it THE MATRIX, but what about when Tim Kincaid did it with (much) less money and called it ROBOT HOLOCAUST thirteen years earlier? Another one of those 1980s American-Italian co-productions that feels like someone ran down a list of movies to rip off, ROBOT HOLOCAUST is a gleeful sugar rush of mutants, badass beefcakes, killer babes, and robot mayhem. Maybe it’s more appropriate to say this production feels more like a kid channel surfing through all the best parts of several movies with an itchy remote control finger at the ready whenever it looks like things are going to...
